3 Rite Aid stores in Mid-Michigan closing as company leaves state | Business [Video]

MID-MICHIGAN (WJRT) – Three more Rite Aid locations joined the growing list of store closures this week as the company continues a reported pullout from Michigan and most of Ohio.

Rite announced 38 more stores will close in the two states this week, including three more locations in Mid-Michigan:

• 4598 State St. near Hemmeter Road in Saginaw Township.
• 218 W. Main St. near Vendor Dr. in Flushing.
• 501 E. Houghton Ave. near Fairview Road in West Branch.

The impending store closures announced Friday bring Rite Aid’s total to 20 locations slated to go out of business in Mid-Michigan since mid-June.

Employees at several Rite Aid stores in the region and several other media reports say the company is closing all of its stores in Michigan and all but four locations in Ohio by the end of this summer.
