Pima County prepares for loss of funding for asylum seekers [Video]

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) – Pima County is fast running out of money for its operations that feed, house, and transport the thousands of asylum seekers who pass through Tucson every day.

It is financed by money from Congress, which is not passing any border funding bills.

The county runs out of money on March 31, 2024, so in just six weeks.

In this 28-page memo, Pima County Administrator Jan Lesher sets out a series of proposals the county might be able to do to keep at least some of the program going.
