ARDMORE, Okla. (KTEN) — The Ardmore City Planning Commission has recommended two requests for approval that would ultimately bring an Ardmore business to Merrick Drive.
The proposal would let Ardmore Premier Eyecare from its current building on Kiowa Street to Merrick Drive. Although the proposal was recommended for approval, there is still a lot to do before construction can begin.
“So the first step is to rezone it, to allow that business to go there,” explained Ardmore Community Development director Jessica Scott. “Once it’s rezoned, we’ll be creating a legal lot, so that we can have construction on that lot.”
If the proposal is passed by the City Commission, Scott believes Ardmore Premier Eyecare won’t be the last business to move to Merrick Drive.
