Forecast: Tracking sizzling weekend temperatures | Weather [Video]

Good morning and happy Saturday!

We are starting off our weekend on the warm side with tropical like temperatures in place across Mid-Missouri. I half expected to see an alligator on my doorstep with the warmth and humidity I felt this morning! To help keep you cool and wake you up on this Saturday morning, it is highly recommended that you grab an extra large iced coffee on your way to your weekend morning activities. 

Temperatures for today will rise to the low 90s across the region, however, to our bodies it will feel more like the upper 90s when you factor in humidity into the equation. 

The heat index for this weekend will continue to hang around in the upper 90s and then jump up to the 100s to start the work week.

Make sure to drink plenty of water this week and take frequent breaks from the heat as often as needed. Wearing …
