Help News Channel 11 & WATE raise money for Make-A-Wish East Tennessee [Video]

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (WJHL) — News Channel 11 and our sister station in Knoxville, WATE, are partnering with Make-A-Wish East Tennessee to make children’s dreams come true.

On Thursday, both news stations are hosting telethons to raise funds to grant critically ill children’s wishes.

The telethon begins at 9 a.m. and runs through 7:30 p.m. To donate to Make-A-Wish East Tennessee, call 888-903-9545 or donate online. Those who give can make one-time donations or set up monthly gifts.

Throughout the day, News Channel 11 and volunteers will man the phones to collect donations for Make-A-Wish East Tennessee and share stories of children whose dreams have come true thanks to the organization.

As of 11 a.m., more than $26,000 had been donated. Carson Wealth joined Good Morning Tri-Cities to present Make-A-Wish East Tennessee with a $1,500 donation.
