I-25 improvements between Montgomery and Comanche begin Aug. 12 [Video]

Improvements along a busy stretch of Interstate 25 begin in less than two weeks. Construction crews begin work on Aug. 12 from Montgomery Boulevard to Comanche Road.According to the city of Albuquerque, the goal for I-25 Improved is making the area safer for drivers, cyclist and pedestrians. All three could experience delays as part of this project.On Friday, City Councilor Tammy Fieblekorn, along with a team member for the project, hosted a Zoom with updates on improvements and impacts during construction and answered questions from residents.Starting on Aug. 12, crews will shift travel lanes on I-25 toward the median in order to start work on the outside lanes.
