Local Democrats gather for new Harris campaign office in Macon [Video]

MACON, Ga. — The 2024 presidential race is starting to re-heat up

The democratic party announced on Friday that vice president Kamala Harris received enough votes to become the democratic nominee for the upcoming presidential election.

A day later, local democratic leaders and community members came together with the Team Harris and Georgia Democrats for her new Bibb County Office opening ceremony.

The office is located at the Triangle Business Center in Macon and is set up for vice president Harris, who recently spoke at a rally in Atlanta..

Macon-Bibb Democratic Committee Chair Jaylan Scott said the site itself is set up to energize young voters to vote for Harris and other democrats on the ballot. He added that it’s also to rally other democrats to vote.
