BANGOR, Maine (WABI) – The Maine Discovery Museum will be a busy place over the next five days for the 9th edition of the Maine Science Festival.
More than 70 events will spread across those days starting with an adult-focus programming on Wednesday afternoon.
Kate Dickerson is one of the main organizers.
“One of the things I want people to know is that this is a program of the Maine Discovery Museum, and it’s open to all ages totally free of cost,” said Dickerson.
Programming coordinator Kim Stewart says the growth of the festival over the years has resulted in them having to extend the event.
“This year is bigger and better than ever. We have more speakers and some world renowned scientist right here from Maine, who will be making presentation at the event. They have five minutes to make their presentation and I’ll be there with my cowbell ready to ring them off if they go …
