Norm Eisen Blasts Supreme Court for Taking So Long to Rule on ‘Absurdity’ of Trump’s Immunity Claim [Video]

CNN legal analyst Norm Eisen expressed bafflement as to why the U.S. Supreme Court has taken so long to rule on whether former President Donald Trump is immune from criminal prosecution.

Trump was convicted in New York last month of falsifying business records and is under indictment in three other jurisdictions – two of which are federal cases. In January, the former president’s attorneys argued before the D.C. Circuit Court of Appeals that Trump cannot be prosecuted for official acts he committed while in office – including having his political rivals assassinated by SEAL Team Six.

The court ruled against Trump, prompting his attorneys to appeal to the Supreme Court, which heard oral arguments in April. Despite issuing the court issuing several opinions this week, the immunity case was not one of them.
