Veteran players reported to Foxborough on Tuesday for the first New England Patriots training camp to be held with a head coach other than Bill Belichick in more than two decades.Belichick and the Patriots parted ways in January after 24 years. One day later, owner Robert Kraft introduced Jerod Mayo as the 15th head coach in team history.Mayo, 38, played linebacker for the Patriots from 2008 to 2015 before becoming a coach in 2019 when Belichick hired him to coach inside linebackers before promoting him to defensive coordinator. Now, he is the youngest head coach in the NFL.At the dawn of camp, Mayo shared some of his plans with reporters.
