Payette County officials assessing microburst storm damage, searching for assistance sources [Video]

PAYETTE COUNTY, Idaho — Payette County officials are banding together to find possible sources of assistance for those affected by a microburst in late June that caused significant property damage.

According to the Payette County Sheriff’s Office, the Payette County Office of Emergency Management created a “Preliminary Damage Assessment” form for property owners, small businesses and farmers to report their damage. 

However, officials state that filing the damage report doesn’t guarantee assistance or is an application for potential aid.

“The information provided is solely for preliminary damage assessment purposes and will be used to evaluate the possibility of offering assistance to private property owners/renters or business owners,” the Payette County Sherriff’s Office said in a news release.
