Ravenswood Ohio River Festival returns on Aug. 2-4! [Video]

RAVENSWOOD, W.Va. (WTAP) – The Ravenswood Ohio River Festival returns this weekend starting on Friday, August 2 and ending on Sunday, August 4.

Ravenswood’s first Ohio River Festival was in 1935. It celebrated the 150th anniversary of the first flatboat being launched in Ravenswood.

Historically, the festival featured a Steamboat parade. Now, it is expanded to include some other activities.

Admission to the festival is free and there will be free carnival rides for everyone to enjoy!

The festival will be open to the public starting at 4 p.m. People can enjoy activities throughout the night including carnival rides and musical entertainment.

On Saturday, there will be a Super Breakfast hosted by North United Methodist Church starting at 7:30 a.m. The cost is $5 for children and $10 for adults.
