DOTHAN, Ala. (WTVY) – U.S. Senator Katie Britt (R-AL) visited Dothan on Tuesday to speak with area leaders and Mayor Mark Saliba’s office.
Recently, Senator Britt has been fighting for funding on Capitol Hill and she managed to get billions of dollars for Fort Novosel.
She is also working to help HudsonAlpha and small businesses in the area grow. Britt thinks it is important to see the Wiregrass grow together.
“We are a conglomeration of what people call small towns, but we are mighty in numbers,” Britt said. “While we might spar on Friday nights during football season with cross-town or cross-community rivals, we come together, we stand together, we stand shoulder to shoulder and we know that when one community rises, we all rise,” Britt added.
The Enterprise native was excited to hear about the communities’ progress.
