BERKELEY COUNTY, S.C. (WCSC) – Following the intense storm last week, Berkeley County authorities are announcing some traffic changes as they start to conduct repairs.
The Berkeley County Government says contractors would be starting a shoulder closure on the eastbound lanes of I-26 in order to remove trees that may pose a threat to public safety.
The shoulder between College Park and Royle Roads will be closed down. That shoulder closure is set to start Monday and end Friday.
There will also be lane closures and periodic road closures on Treeland Drive between College Park and Royle Roads starting Tuesday and ending Friday so they can remove trees in similar states.
They ask that motorists be extra mindful of the crews who are at work in those areas.
