TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) – Two firefighters were hospitalized following an overnight house fire in Toledo.
According to Toledo Fire and Rescue, a small electrical fire started around midnight on June 19 at a house on Leland Avenue. The fire started in a wall and made its way up to the attic.
Officials say two of the firefighters who responded to the fire were hospitalized. The battalion chief tells 13 Action News that heat was the reason for one of the hospitalizations while the other firefighter suffered a twisted ankle.
No residents were injured in the fire and the Red Cross was also called to assists the family living in the house.
