ANNETTE ENROLLED IN NIGHT AND WEEKEND CLASSES IN 1972 AT WHAT WAS THEN NEW HAMPSHIRE COLLEGE. AFTER HER HUSBAND WAS KILLED IN ACTION IN VIETNAM. WHEN YOU’VE BEEN MARRIED FOR A PERIOD OF TIME, AND ALL OF A SUDDEN YOU FIND OUT THAT YOU’RE YOU’RE THE ONLY ONE, IT’S LIKE YOU’VE JUST BEEN CUT IN HALF BECAUSE YOUR OTHER HALF IS NO LONGER THERE. SHE CONTINUED TO TAKE COURSES WHILE WORKING PART TIME, BUT IT PROVED CHALLENGING WHILE RAISING FIVE KIDS SIMULTANEOUSLY. I HAD TO MAKE SURE THAT THE WELFARE OF MY CHILDREN …
