Garrett Nussmeier excited, preparing to be the starting quarterback for LSU [Video]

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) – Last year, Garrett Nussmeier came to Thibodaux the backup to Jayden Daniels. Now, everything has changed, he’s the starting QB for the LSU Tigers.

“Of course, the dynamic has changed a little bit. I’ve been preparing for this, I’ve been excited for this since I got to school. I got a flash of it, a touch of it my freshman year and then it was taken away. I’ve just been itching to get it back ever since. Staying at LSU and being where I needed to be, I felt God had me here for a reason. I’m so excited. I’m going to put my head down and work, and trust that God will do the rest,” said quarterback Garrett Nussmeier.

Nussmeier did get that all important first start in the RealiQuest Bowl. So it should help a little with the nerves in LSU’s opener against USC.
