Santa Claus proposal AJC Peachtree Road Race [Video]

ATLANTA — Today, Independence Day, Christmas and Valentine’s Day collided at the starting line of the 55th AJC Peachtree Road Race with a special proposal.

If you’ve run the Peachtree in recent years, you might’ve seen Mr. and Mrs. Claus running too. But, they actually aren’t married – yet! Today, Mr. Claus got down on one knee and asked Mrs. Claus to marry him. And she said yes!

Torrie Griffin and his now fiancée Stacey Miller are part of a tradition of dressing up in costume – rather than typical running clothes – for the Peachtree. They have brought Christmas-in-July cheer to the race for the last four years. Now, they get to spend the rest of their holidays bringing joy to each other.
