Gibson Park Open Market Honors Veterans – Erie News Now [Video]

Gibson Park was home to their weekly open market on Saturday, but in honor of the Fourth of July holiday, veterans were recognized in a special way.

“We are finding its to be a great venue for members of our community with microbusinesses, so they aren’t even a small business yet and this gives them the opportunity to have a shingle”, said Jen Smith, the Director of Enjoy North East.

The weekly event allows people to sell their products, from art work, to teas, and baked goods. It’s also a great opportunity for networking.Faith Sanei, the co-owner of Urban Fox and Co. said, “It just gets you out there. People see you, they can get their business card, talk to you about it, later they can come back to your website and stuff.”
