Miles College expands academic offerings to prepare students for future careers [Video]

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – In today’s competitive job market, employers are seeking graduates equipped with skills to remain relevant in a rapidly evolving world. Miles College is responding proactively by expanding its academic offerings to prepare students for the jobs of tomorrow.

Dr. Tonya Perry, the Provost and Vice President of Academic Affairs at Miles College, describes the institution as being in an “expansion phase.” Starting in the fall of 2024, students at Miles College will have more academic options as the college revamps its curriculum.

“We’re preparing our students for careers that exist, but also for careers that don’t exist yet,” says Dr. Perry. This preparation includes the introduction of a new Interdisciplinary Studies program, allowing students to combine minors from various fields to create a unique degree tailored to their specific career aspirations.
