Worldwide tech crash leaves local church group stranded in Amsterdam | News [Video]

TULSA, Okla. — Effects from the worldwide tech crash caused by the company CrowdStrike on Friday are still being felt at airports across the world.

As of Saturday, FlightAware said there are more than 1,700 flights canceled in and out of the U.S.

A group from the Southern Hills Baptist Church in Tulsa is included in that number.

FOX23 spoke with the team on Saturday.

They are currently stranded in Amsterdam after starting the journey home from a mission trip due to a computer glitch.

They are still stranded but they said they are staying positive.

“It looks like we don’t have final plans yet because we are such a big group,” Family Pastor Michelle Norman said.

Norman said the group of 20 from the Southern Hills Baptist Church was returning from a mission trip in Ghana on Friday.
