Local businesses raise money for non-profit ‘My Happy Place’ | News [Video]

MASON CITY, Iowa-Lemonade and donations is how Pottery on the Plaza and other local businesses are raising money for a good cause.

‘My Happy Place’ is a non-profit whose volunteers transform the rooms of those who suffer from serious health conditions into something more cheerful and healing.

Pottery on the Plaza planned a lemonade stand fundraiser to give back to the group that gives to others.

Pottery on the Plaza co-owner Kallie Campbell says, “It’s very important, because they are the ones who are really needing it the most. I mean there’s great organizations out there where they get the funding and that’s amazing but some just don’t and they have a really important purpose that they are pushing for and we would love to help support that.”

No set amount was chosen as a goal for the fundraiser with the goal for the community come together.
