6 DIVIDEND STOCKS (and ETFs) On My Watchlist

I’m excited to share 6 dividend stocks (and ETFs) on my personal watchlist right now. I plan on adding to these positions over the coming months. (Two of these would be net new positions in my portfolio.)

TIMESTAMPS:
0:00 INTRODUCTION
0:53 SEGMENT 1: LOOKING AT 4 STOCKS I BOUGHT OVER THE LAST YEAR (2 Are Still On My Watchlist)
1:37 REALTY INCOME (O) – 9th largest position in my portfolio (4.7% of my portfolio’s value)
1:55 I made a large trade in O last October.
2:30 SOCIAL MEDIA: What Correction? My stock portfolio has been trending up in value.
2:37 BLOSSOM SOCIAL (Check out my pinned comment for my affiliate link. Disclosure: I’m compensated for sign-ups via affiliate commission.)
3:35 My stock portfolio is doing as it’s designed to do. My portfolio provides minimal volatility and consistent cash flow, even during times that are turbulent for the overall stock market.
4:20 I’m up 18.9% on my O purchase from last October. (Unrealized capital gains)
4:50 I’m not buying O here.
5:02 My dividend distribution yield on cost is 6.33%.
6:15 Capital appreciation: It makes me feel like I made the right decision with my investment.
7:03 ALTRIA (MO) – 4th largest position (7.1% of portfolio’s value)
7:14 I bought a large trance in December of last year, and I’m up 27.1% in capital appreciation (unrealized capital gains).
7:40 I’m enjoying a 9.75% dividend yield-on-cost.
7:50 I’m not adding here, because the dividend is now 7.68% with PE (forward 2024) of 10.
9:58 BRITISH AMERICAN (BTI) – 6th largest position (5.1% of portfolio’s value)
10:27 I’m up 9.7% in just a few weeks on my large trades. (Unrealized capital gains)
10:49 Current PE is 7.89. It’s still cheap, and I may add more!
12:02 8.94% dividend yield on cost. But, current dividend yield is still at 8.15% (which is enticing).
13:05 BTI is still on my watchlist.
13:24 PFIZER (PFE) – 28th largest position (0.9% of portfolio’s value)
13:45 Since my trades in January, I’m up about 7.1%. It hasn’t moved as much as I thought!
14:38 I want to buy more. I think Pfizer will be fine. It’s on my watchlist.
15:21 Current PE of 11.89.
16:01 Yield on cost of 5.91%, but current yield is still 5.52%.
16:33 KEY: Look at the data in Excel. PFE had not moved as far as I thought.
17:46 SEGMENT 2 – MORE WATCHLIST POSITIONS
18:41 SCHD – 20th largest position (1.5% of portfolio’s value)
19:05 Increase dividend CAGR and diversification.
19:28 Starbucks (SBUX) – At a 2024 forward PE of 21.20 and a starting dividend yield of 3%, I see value given their long-term growth prospects.
22:55 FOF – Closed End Fund – 8.59% – Would be a net new position, with more research required.
24:04 How can I add elements of the Income Factory strategy to my own portfolio?
24:20 It’s a “closed end fund of closed end funds”.
25:33 DIVO – ETF – 4.45% Starting Yield
26:33 SEGMENT 3 – Stocks I analyzed that did not make my watchlist.
26:42 General Mills (GIS)
27:40 Honeywell (HON)
28:10 Bank of Montreal (BMO)
