Clemson ranked 14th in preseason Coaches Poll [Video]

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – Clemson starts the 2024 season at No. 14 in the Preseason US LBM Coaches Poll, second highest in the ACC behind Florida State at No. 10.

Clemson had 657 points from the votes but received no first place votes.

The Tigers closed out the 2023 season with a win at the Gator Bowl over Kentucky. The post season win was part of five consecutive wins Clemson put together to wrap up the season.

The Tigers return 13 starters from last year’s team, with eight of those on the offensive side of the ball including quarterback Cade Klubnik. The junior is one of just a few starting quarterbacks in the ACC with starting experience.

The Clemson defense returns Peter Woods, T.J. Parker and Barrett Carter most notably. The three aided in a Clemson defense that led the ACC in fewest total yards allowed last season.
