People who have lived along the Yadkin River for decades have seen it swell a number of times and occasionally bring water a lot closer to their homes than they would prefer. Despite the history, they are not overly concerned about Tropical Storm Debby, and its potential impact on the Triad later this week. Tom Bowman has a beautiful view of the Yadkin from his home on River Road in Advance, at least he does most days.During bad storms, though, the water has reached more than 10 feet high to a branch holding a series of swings in his backyard.
