SIOUX CITY (KTIV) – The future of Sioux City’s public climbing wall was the subject of a town hall meeting Thursday night.
Sioux City Parks and Rec organized that meeting to give the climbing community an opportunity to voice their concerns and give input about the future plans for the climbing wall that’s currently located at the Long Lines Family Rec Center.
This all comes after Whitewater Climbing Wall Management shared that their agreement with the city will end on September 30th, and will not be renewed.
“We take the input from tonight and start to develop a plan, business plan, whether or not it’s public, private, or bring everybody together. And keep having these conversations, could lead to more of these types of meetings, or more just informal, smaller group meetings.
