Pritzker serves up JBeer brew to be offered at Democratic National Convention [Video]

CHICAGO — Days before the nation’s political attention turns to Chicago for the Democratic National Convention, Gov. JB Pritzker on Friday tended bar for supporters, giving them a taste of a specialty brew that will be served at events he hosts throughout the event.

The ‘JBeer’ was crafted in collaboration with two Illinois breweries, Sketchbook Brewing Company and Alter Brewing Company, to tout small business and the economic benefits of 50,000 guests expected in Chicago for the convention.

“We’re here celebrating. We’re going to be serving this in some of the suites at the United Center,” Pritzker said at the ceremonial beer pour at Centennial Craft Beer & Eatery in the city’s River North neighborhood.

Sketchbook crafted a West Coast IPA; Alter brewed a Mexican Style Lager.
