Our Town Aurora: Meeting with the mayor [Video]

AURORA, Neb. (KOLN) – During an interview with the mayor of Our Town Aurora, we learned about some new projects happening and why the town is such a great place to call home.

“There’s quite a bit of economic development happening,” Aurora Mayor Marlin Seeman said. “We’ve seen grown in business investments, and in home ownership.”

The community is surrounded by farmland. Mayor Seeman said they never want to forget that the economy is based on the agricultural inputs and outputs of their agricultural community members.

“That is always number one in my heart,” he said.

Along with agriculture, the town is showing some industrial strength.

South of town, Specialty Ag Formulations is building a $20 million facility where micronutrients for crop production and protection will be made. Also nearby, a new data center is being constructed in the town’s industrial park area. Downtown improvement funds are being used to …
