MA, NH storms Thursday? Cape Cod flash flooding, Live radar, weather forecast updates NBC Boston [Video]

Weather alerts were in effect in much of New England Thursday.

In Massachusetts, there are flash flood warnings in parts of Norfolk County and Plymouth county until 7:45 p.m., and in Bristol County until 8:15. Rhode Island’s Newport County and Bristol County also have flash flood warnings until 8:15.

Severe thunderstorm warnings are in effect in parts of Cheshire and Hillsborough counties in New Hampshire through 8:45 p.m.

Earlier severe thunderstorm warnings in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut and Rhode Island have since expired, as have flash flood warnings on Cape Cod.

Coverage appeared to be skimpy with many of Wednesday’s forecasts, but starting last night, the number of potential storms increased. Given that, we’re expecting a lot of hits Thursday with some spots getting hammered with heavy rain and the possibility of small hail with some of the stronger storms.
