Hot and humid with storm chances through the weekend [Video]

GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) – A turn back toward hotter, and possibly stormier, weather is ahead for the weekend.

• Heating up on Friday
• Storms possible Friday through Sunday
• Milder, dry weather next week

Sun and clouds are on tap again for Friday, but a southerly turn in the winds will bring some sweltering heat back to the region.

Highs will climb back to the low 90s for much of the region, with the chance for a few showers and thunderstorms later in the afternoon.

A more significant line of storms is expected to arrive Saturday evening, possibly bringing some severe weather with it. Much of the day will see a mix of sun and clouds otherwise, but make sure you are ready to head indoors quickly if storms head your way. Highs will top the low 90s once again on Saturday.
