GREEN BAY, Wis. (WFRV) – Lambeau Field hosted its first-ever soccer match two years ago when English Premier League powerhouse Manchester City topped German Bundesliga icon Bayern Munich in a 1-0 pre-season friendly.

On Saturday, Green Bay’s soccer community experienced another milestone, as the city now has its first and only bar dedicated to the ‘beautiful game.’ While Green Bay’s sports scene is largely defined by an American football team, Casuals Soccer Pub is spreading the European version of 11-on-11 football around Green Bay.

Casuals Soccer Pub is modeled after multiple soccer-specific venues in the United States. It hopes to provide an in-person matchday experience as if you were at the game itself.

The bar held its celebratory opening at 6:30 a.m. as the English Premier League season continued its kick-off weekend. Owner Joe Phillips said it’s a dream come true to open up shop.
