Dexter Fowler is the latest big name US sports star who has bought into the Premier League.

LeBron James, Ryan Reynolds, Tom Brady and J.J. Watt have already blazed that trail.

Reynolds and Rob McElhenney own Wrexham, The King has a stake in Liverpool, Brady bought into Birmingham City and Watt is a Burnley investor.

Fowler, a former Major League Baseball (MLB) center fielder who played for the Colorado Rockies, Houston Astros, Chicago Cubs, St. Louis Cardinals, and Los Angeles Angels, is now on that illustrious list as part of AFC Bournemouth‘s ownership group led by billionaire businessman Bill Foley.

According to Sportico, Foley, who also owns the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights, took Fowler under his wing to mentor him in the world of business.
