RENO, Nev. (KOLO) –Nevada Math is launching a new program called ‘Math Club in a Bag.’ Inside each bag is everything a school/teacher needs to run a math club.
Each bag includes 16 lesson plans, materials for games and activities, worksheets and handouts for students and a manual for the coach (can be a parent, volunteer, teaching, community member, etc.) to follow.
Sherry Griffin, founder and board president, stopped by Morning Break to talk about Nevada Math’s desire to foster learning in the hopes that more kids will pursue careers in STEM.
There are 100 “Math Club in a Bag” kits. Contact Angela Francis at [email protected] to learn more.
