Hail damage from storms bringing big business for auto shops in parts of Connecticut [Video]

NORTH HAVEN, CT (WFSB) – Monday afternoon’s fast-moving storms brought golf ball sized hail to parts of Connecticut.

That now means big business for local autobody shops as folks deal with all the dents and damage.

At North Haven Autobody, calls started coming in first thing Tuesday morning, and they are not the only ones expecting to hear from customers in the coming days.

“The dents are really small, there’s about 12 of them in the hood, unfortunately with white, the camera, you’re not gong to see it, white is the hardest color to pick it up on,” said Bob McSherry of North Haven Autobody.

He has been doing this for a long time, and the damage is no problem for him.

“We’ve got dents in the fender, one on the top of the roof pillar, there’s 2 on top of the quarter panel, and the trunk has about six dents,” he continued.

The damage from the hail can vary.
