Chesterfield Mall to officially close Saturday [Video]

ST. LOUIS (KMOX) – The last tenants of Chesterfield Mall are packing up.

Chesterfield Mall officially closes Saturday.

Tenant leases are up Aug. 31st and then most of the mall will be demolished.

Staenberg Group says Dillard’s will stay and operate as part of a new development. Developers also plan to keep a building that once housed Macy’s.

The site at 64 and Clarkson will become “Downtown Chesterfield”

The site will become a mixed-use development with a three-and-a-half acre park, apartment units, businesses and office space.

Demolition is expected to start this fall.

First phases are expected to be complete by 2027.
