CONCORD, Calif. (KRON) — A longtime mom and pop business in Concord that shuttered over the weekend is back open and at a new location. Economics forced the closure, but the owners of Flying Colors Comics felt compelled to keep the business running for the community.
Don’t call it a fresh start, but rather the continuation of a really good thing.
“We’re keeping this business going because of the community,” explained co-owner Joe Field.
Flanked by a loyal small army of family, friends and staff, Joe and his wife Libby have been working at a fever pitch since Saturday when, for the final time at their original location at Oak Grove Plaza in Concord, they closed their doors.
