Downtown Chico businesses prepare for Wildcat Weekend | News [Video]

CHICO, Calif. – One of Chico State’s biggest events, Wildcat Weekend, is coming up, and while Chico State is preparing for the event, several businesses in downtown are also preparing for it. 

From retail to restaurants, several business managers and employees say Wildcat Weekend is a busy time for them. 

Some employees say they plan to have extra staff on hand, while restaurants like Mas Amor plan to offer a special. 

“So we’re actually really excited for Wildcat Weekend. We know there’s going to be a lot of business here in downtown, so we’re going to have all hands on deck and a 10% discount to all the students and their families, of course,” said Mas Amor manager Samantha Hernandez.
