Early voting starts Tuesday in Ohio [Video]

MARIETTA, Ohio (WTAP) – Ohioans can begin in-person early voting on Tuesday, Oct. 8.

Oct. 7 is the last day for voter registration. Voters can register in person at the Board of Elections office between 8 a.m. and 9 p.m. on that day.

In person early voting begins the next day at the Board of Elections office between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Board of Elections Director Mandy Amos said they’re prepared for a large turnout both during early voting and on election day.

“We are anticipating a lot pf people to come into our office to vote,” Amos said. “So, we just want people–we have a fairly large parking lot, but just to be careful in the parking lot coming in, for people walking through the parking lot, other voters. We will have extra staff on hand to help with that overflow, and we’re actually using a bigger room …
