Milwaukee County and Milwaukee Mitchell Airport are considering a $3 fee for every Uber and Lyft dropoff at the airport starting in 2025.It’s part of the county’s 2025 budget proposal, to be voted on by mid-November. The airport is a part of Milwaukee County government, but does not receive any tax dollars from the county.An airport spokesperson said Friday riders will notice their ride fare go up, then Uber and Lyft will collect that extra money and pay it back to the airport. “The Airport receives no tax dollars from Milwaukee County, and our day-to-day operations are entirely funded by user fees.
