Students urged to register for 2024-25 Hawaii LifeSmarts Competition : Big Island Now [Video]

Do you have high school or middle school students students knowledgeable in subjects such as personal finance, consumer rights and responsibilities, the environment, health and safety or technology?

Think they could best others in a contest of whits in the same categories?

The Hawaiʻi Department of Commerce and Consumer Affairs Business Registration Division invites teams to participate in the 2024-25 Hawaiʻi LifeSmarts Competition, a free education program that teaches students critial life skills in those 5 key areaa through online quizzes and in-person challenges.

Teams must consist of one adult coach/teacher and at least 4 students. Registration is now open online.

High school, or “varsity” teams, can participate in the online portion of the competition from Oct. 21 until 7 p.m. Dec. 6.

Middle school, or “junior varsity” teams, with students in grades 6 to 8, can participate in an online-only competition during the same time period.
