Getting the dispensary open has been a years-long process, as the couple applied for a Conditional Adult-Use Retail Dispensary license in 2022.

BUFFALO, N.Y. — For William and Janique Curry, opening a business in Gates Circle in Buffalo was like “coming back home.”

The couple lived in an apartment there above a retail store in the 1990s, before the shop became Hutch’s Restaurant. Now, they opened a legal weed dispensary nearby in Gates Circle and will celebrate a grand opening Oct. 10.

“We look at it like we’re coming back home because we’re familiar with The Circle,” William said.
