Your four-legged friends can trick-or-treat too.
BUFFALO, N.Y. — Dogs want to go trick-or-treating too and now there’s a Halloween gathering perfect for your furry friends.
The Allentown small business community is planning a Halloween Pup Strut on Saturday, October 26 from noon to 4 p.m. Dogs and their families can stroll down Allen Street and trick-or-treat at each small business stop.
Participating businesses will have treats for both the kiddos and pups as well as photo-ops and specialty menu items.
There will also be a costume contest for the best dressed pup. Categories include ‘spookiest pup,’ ‘most creative costume,’ and ‘best best and owner duo.’ The winners will receive gift cars to local shops.
“We’re excited to bring the community together for this fun and festive event,” co-owner of Buffalo Barkery Maggie Lamparelli said. “The Halloween Pup Strut is a great opportunity for pet lovers to celebrate the season with their furry friends while supporting local businesses.”
