Miagen platform used to model leases for 100bn worth of aircraft [Video]

Dublin-based Miagen claims it is now responsible for the financial modelling for a fifth of leased airplanes through LeaseGen, its financial planning solution for the aircraft leasing industry.

The company said that aircraft leased using its technology are worth more than €100bn after closing a number of new deals including a pact with Florida and Dublin-based Azorra.

Approximately half of the global commercial aircraft fleet is leased from lessors to airlines to ensure greater flexibility and spread financial risk.

More than half of aircraft leasing companies are based in Ireland, and the country is recognised as a powerhouse for the industry, which is expected to grow from $183bn to $402bn by 2032.
