The Federal Emergency Management Agency issued a reminder to Vermonters that there is just one month left to apply for aid following July’s flooding.Federal assistance includes housing repair grants from FEMA or low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration.Residents in the designated counties who’s homes were damaged in the July 9-11 flooding are eligible to apply for funding. Those areas include Addison, Caledonia, Chittenden, Essex, Lamoille, Orleans and Washington counties.The deadline to apply is Nov. 25, 2024.To date, more than $10 million in federal assistance for the July storms has been approved.You can find out more details on how to apply by visiting www.disasterassistance.gov, by downloading the FEMA mobile app or by calling 1-800-621-3362.
