PORTLAND Ore. (KPTV) – A small business in Northeast Portland’s Beaumont-Wilshire neighborhood is working to bounce back after being burglarized for the second time this year.
However, the store’s owner, Miles English said break-ins are inevitable in Portland, and now he has to decide if he should file another insurance claim, potentially risking the loss of his coverage.
English’s ‘Puddletown Games and Puzzles’ located on Northeast Fremont Street has been open for three years and has had its front door boarded up twice due to break-ins. Those two break-ins contribute to the more than 6,000 robberies or burglaries reported to the Portland Police Bureau within the last year.
