Colorado Veterans Project and the City of Denver canceled the 11th annual Denver Veterans Day Parade.
DENVER — The 11th annual Denver Veterans Day Parade has been canceled on Saturday.
The Colorado Veterans Project and the City of Denver announced Thursday that Saturday’s parade has been canceled “due to inclement weather and in consideration of safety for everyone involved.”
However, Colorado Veterans Project said the 16th annual Denver Veterans Day Run and the Denver Veterans Day Festival will still take place Saturday as planned at City Park.
The 9NEWS Weather Impact Team issued a Weather Impact Day through Saturday morning for a significant snowstorm. Winter Storm Watches are up for most of the Denver metro area for the impactful winter weather system.
The storm system headed to Colorado will likely bring six inches or more of snow on Friday and Saturday. The snow is forecast to leave Colorado Saturday morning and dry out and melt out starting on Saturday afternoon.
