Athletic director asks BOE to file injunction regarding points system [Video]

CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) – It’s just a couple of week before high school football playoffs start in West Virginia, and some teams are going to the Cabell County Board of Education for help.

Huntington High School Athletic Director Bruce Senior asked the Cabell County Board of Education to file an injunction with the West Virginia Secondary Schools Activities Commission (WVSSAC) Thursday night and said “it would be Huntington High and Cabell-Midland.”

Senior said his team and others in Class AAAA and haven’t gotten the points that would help them in playoff seedings.

“Well in August, the WVSSAC changed from 24 schools in Quad A to 16 and when they did that, we lost five schools from our schedule from the Mountain State Athletic Conference; it became Triple A schools and each one of those schools would beat then would cost us three points.
