Vermont Law and Graduate School held its annual celebration of Veterans Day in the Chase Center on campus Monday. Students, staff members and veterans were present for the event titled Honoring the Past, Preserving the Future. The school said it has been holding the event since 2010 and added that it has not put it on this scale before. The school not only wanted to honor veterans but also highlight the programs and resources it has to help those coming out of the armed services. Donald Hayes is a professor and the director of the Vermont Veterans Legal Assistance Program. He and his team of attorneys and law students have been working with veterans through the program since Hayes became the director in 2018.
