Border-Gavaskar Trophy: India have suffered a massive blow ahead of the first Test against Australia in the upcoming Border-Gavaskar Trophy, starting from November 22.
Star opener Shubman Gill is set to miss the first Test in Perth after picking up a finger injury during fielding in India’s simulation match in Perth and is now set for two weeks at the sidelines.
Although his finger injury is not long-term, the Indian medical staff don’t want to take any risk.

With less than a week remaining before the start of the first match, Gill will have to now sit out at least for the first Test.
The 25-year-old is the new addition to India’s long list of injuries. The Rohit Sharma-led side were already taken aback by the injuries of of KL Rahul and Virat Kohli.
