BBC Strictly Come Dancing host Tess Daly made a special announcement at the beginning of the latest episode on Saturday, November 30. The quarter-finals kicked off with a bang as the professional dancers delivered an electrifying routine in homage to the show’s history.
Tess Daly and her co-host Claudia Winkleman welcomed the judges, who were adorned in extravagant costumes representing characters from musicals, with Shirley Ballas almost unrecognisable as Miss Trunchbull from Matilda.
Claudia excitedly informed the live audience and viewers at home: “We are bringing the West End to the ballroom as we celebrate all things jazz hands.”
